Where are services offered?
Speech and language and myofunctional therapy services are offered through The Village YXE in Saskatoon.
Do you offer autism assessments?
Yes. Kirsten Seto offers multidisciplinary autism assessments in collaboration with Amanda Ellis through The Village YXE.
How long is the waitlist?
Wait times can vary significantly depending on a number of factors, including caseload capacity, scheduling availability, service type, and your own availability for appointments. Because of this, we are unfortunately unable to provide estimated wait times.
Families will be contacted as openings become available, and we appreciate your patience while waiting for services.
Are summer camps offered through The Village YXE?
No. Summer camps continue to operate separately through It’s a Speech Thing Inc.
What services do you provide?
We provide speech and language therapy for children and youth, myofunctional therapy for children and adults, comprehensive speech and language assessments, and multidisciplinary autism assessments.
How do I get started?
You can join the appropriate waitlist through the links on our website. Once a spot becomes available, you will be contacted with next steps.
Do you offer direct billing?
The Village YXE is set up for direct billing with select insurance providers. Coverage and eligibility vary depending on your individual plan, and direct billing cannot be guaranteed. We recommend checking with your insurance provider regarding your specific coverage for Speech-Language Pathology services.
If direct billing is unavailable or not approved, receipts will still be provided for reimbursement submission.
Who runs the camps?
Camps are overseen by Kirsten Seto and supported by additional Speech-Language Pathologists, assistants, and staff depending on the camp structure and group needs.
Speech Therapy Services In Saskatoon
It’s a Speech Thing offers a customized solution for children and adults throughout Saskatoon and the surrounding areas. We are able to support you through in-person sessions in your home or online speech therapy to make it easy to attend sessions from the comfort of your own home. Children and adults enjoy interacting with our trained adult and children's speech pathologists to support speech and language development. Our children's speech therapy is geared to engage children of all ages through play-based interactions to ensure fun and learning at the same time! We also work in collaboration with other professionals involved in your child's life, providing a comprehensive and integrated approach to speech and language development across all settings.
We also are available to coordinate and collaborate with teachers, therapists, medical doctors, and therapists to provide integrated services for sustained progress.
